Member Spotlight

Soul Purpose 360 members are Black women who are doing amazing things across all disciplines and across the world too. This month, we shine a spotlight on Djeli-Chinyere as they offer other members the opportunity to Step Into the Sacred Circle of Storytelling with Djeli-Chinyere & Nne-Agwu

Djeli-Chinyere, the visionary founder and artistic director of Nne-Agwu, is a guardian of oral traditions — a storyteller, messenger, and cultural custodian who creates sacred spaces for community connection and spiritual expression. Rooted in the wisdom of ancestral guidance, she established Nne-Agwu in 2010 as a grassroots community arts organisation to celebrate and preserve the rich traditions of Afrakan storytelling.

The Heart of Nne-Agwu

With Ubuntu — I am because we are — at its core, Nne-Agwu runs year-round cultural and heritage events designed to foster intergenerational learning, environmental awareness, and community wellbeing. Through workshops, spiritual ceremonies, and leadership training, the organization ignites collective healing and celebrates ancestral knowledge.

Looking Ahead: The 5-Day Afrakan Storytelling Festival (July 2026) An annual highlight, this 5-day camp-style festival offers bushcraft, storytelling masterclasses, survival skills, and wellness practices in a community-led, nature-based setting. It’s an unforgettable experience of reconnecting with indigenous values and village living.

Master the Art of Storytelling Nne-Agwu also hosts masterclasses in oral storytelling — teaching structure, symbolism, and the influence of ancient archetypes and deities. These sessions support personal development, public speaking, and spiritual exploration.

As a proud member of Soul Purpose360, a Black women’s empowerment network across London, Djeli-Chinyere honours community collaboration and sistahood. SP360 members receive 20% off tickets to the 1-day feast using the promo code: SoulPurpose20.

Come with an open heart. Leave with a full spirit. Join us at The Spirit of Stories. The Power of Voice and rediscover the healing magic of the spoken word.
