Cultivating Black Women for 
Social Change

A social research project examining the role of community-led interventions in supporting Black women to become agents of social change. Launched at the International Women's Day 2022 event at Croydon Town Hall.

About the Research

This report was launched at the International Women's Day 2022 event held at Croydon Town Hall on 5th March 2022. It examines how Black women are cultivated as agents of social change through community-led organisations like Soul Purpose 360.

The research draws on the personal testimonies and lived experiences of Black women across our network — capturing the complex realities they face and the transformative impact of community support.

Research Ethics

This research was conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines for community-based participatory research. All participants gave informed consent and their anonymity was protected throughout.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to include everyone's contribution or all the findings from the research — mainly due to time constraints and space allocation.
