Croydon Community Hub Launches Listening Campaign to Empower Local Voices

Croydon, London – A community consultation is giving Croydon residents the opportunity to influence the future of their neighbourhood while helping to establish a dedicated community hub at the heart of the town centre.

Soul-Full Voices, an initiative from Soul Purpose 360°, is inviting local people to share their experiences, ideas and ambitions for Croydon while exploring how the Soul-Full Community Hub at 62 George Street, can become a vibrant, accessible space for community use.

Running until 9 October, the consultation seeks feedback from residents, community groups, voluntary organisations, entrepreneurs, creatives and local businesses about how the space can best serve the people of Croydon.

The aim is two-fold: to raise awareness of Soul-Full as a community asset available for local use and to create opportunities for residents to contribute meaningfully to conversations about the borough's future.

Located in the Caribuena Café, 62 George Street, Croydon CR0 1PD, the Soul-Full Community Hub is being developed as a welcoming space where people can gather, connect, hire space, host activities, access facilities and build initiatives that strengthen local networks and wellbeing.

As Croydon continues to experience significant change and regeneration, organisers believe it is essential that local voices are not only heard but are equipped to participate confidently in conversations that affect their communities.

"Too often, regeneration can feel like something that happens to communities rather than with them. Through Soul-Full Voices, we want residents to know that their experiences, ideas and aspirations matter. We're creating a space where people can come together, build confidence, share solutions and play an active role in shaping the future of Croydon."  Palma Black, Founder & CEO of Soul Purpose 360 and the proprietor of Soul-Full.

The consultation encourages participants to think about what community resources are needed locally, how shared spaces can better support residents, and how people can be supported to engage more effectively in regeneration conversations and decision-making processes.

Organisers hope the feedback gathered will help shape future programmes, partnerships, events and services while ensuring that Soul-Full evolves in direct response to community needs.

Whether residents want somewhere to meet, organise activities, access resources, run workshops, host community projects or simply connect with others, Soul-Full aims to become a trusted and accessible home for community-led action.

The consultation is open to everyone and participants can drop in at any time or complete the survey using the QR code provided on Soul-Full Voices promotional materials.
