"Known by name, not badge number": community-run workspace opens in Croydon town centre offering five days for the price of four

SoulWorks, a new co-working space on the fourth floor of the Soul-Full building at 62 George Street, is now open to Croydon's freelancers, entrepreneurs, students and remote workers.
Run by social enterprise Soul Purpose 360 CIC, SoulWorks offers dedicated zones for collaborative teamworking, solo working and quiet reading, with fast secure Wi-Fi, large monitors, lockable storage and access to the building's café, wellness hub and podcast studio.
A five-day weekly bundle allows members to work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, for the equivalent cost of four days, priced at £79.20 for Soul-Full members, £95.04 for non-members and £110.88 for commercial users. Soul-Full membership costs £5 per month.
Palma Black, Founder and CEO, said: "Working from home was supposed to set us free and instead it left a lot of people isolated at the kitchen table. SoulWorks is a desk where you're known by name, not a badge number, and where the person at the next monitor might become your next collaborator. That's not something a corporate office block can sell you."
All surplus from SoulWorks is reinvested into Soul Purpose 360's free community programmes for women's health and wellbeing improvements.
