Soul Purpose 360 Named One of The Big Issue’s 100 Changemakers 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Soul Purpose 360 CIC has been recognised as one of The Big Issue’s 100 Changemakers 2026, under the category of Learning and Employment. This is a massive win for the social enterprise as it has been recognised in a national list celebrating individuals and organisations creating practical solutions to social challenges across the UK.

Each year, the Big Issue Changemakers list highlights people and organisations working within communities to address inequality, exclusion and lack of access to opportunity. The 2026 list spans all generations and sectors, recognising grassroots initiatives building support networks where traditional services are often limited.

Founded by Palma Black following the loss of her sister, Soul Purpose 360 was created to offer women a space rooted in belonging, connection and self-expression. Starting in Croydon, the organisation has grown to nearly 2,000 members across London and beyond.

The organisation delivers workshops in wellbeing, leadership, creativity, careers and entrepreneurship, with members actively shaping the programme through shared lived experience and peer support. A newly secured community building in Croydon, Soul-Full - located in George Street, will now provide a permanent base for its work with a wellness hub, creative studios, workspace, an on-site cafe, meeting rooms and monthly events.

The recognition comes alongside recent investment support from Big Issue Invest, strengthening the organisation’s ability to develop a long-term community hub for women’s voices and opportunity:

It’s an honour for Soul Purpose 360 to be recognised alongside so many people working quietly and consistently to support others. Change rarely comes from one person, it comes from communities showing up for each other. This recognition belongs to our members, volunteers and everyone across the country creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and able to grow.” (Palma Black, Founder and CEO)

The Big Issue Changemakers list celebrates organisations building practical solutions in areas such as housing, education, employment, environment and community wellbeing.

Soul Purpose 360 continues to expand its programmes supporting Black and Global majority women as well as the wider community, through mentoring, education and collaborative learning, with its new Croydon space officially opening this month.
