Croydon's newest podcast studio opens its doors — built by and for women whose voices have gone unheard

Soul Purpose 360 CIC has opened a fully equipped professional podcast studio at Soul-Full, its community building at 62 George Street in the heart of Croydon town centre.
The studio offers broadcast-quality audio and video recording for solo shows, interviews and panel formats, alongside technical and presentation training for people who have never stepped behind a microphone before. It is available to hire by community members, local businesses, creators and commercial clients.
The studio sits within Soul-Full, a multi-purpose community building run by Soul Purpose 360, a social enterprise supporting Black and global majority women across ten London boroughs. Income generated by the studio is reinvested directly into the organisation's free community programmes.
Palma Black, Founder and CEO of Soul Purpose 360, said: "The studio is accessible to the whole community who support and share our values of authentic expression, inclusive community and transformative growth. It is a space that enables individuals and groups to have a voice in the things that matter most to them, to reach and engage others - to spread good ideas."
The launch follows a period of rapid growth for the organisation, which was named one of The Big Issue's 100 Changemakers 2026 and recently welcomed Sarah Jones MP and the Executive Mayor of Croydon to the Soul-Full building.
